One of my inks started, IDK how to call it properly, decaying? Disintegrating? Decomposing??
I opened up the bottle some time ago and the scent was rather unusual, think rotting leaves. Color was different too - the liquid was brown, not the usual black/purple shade. Used it for art anyway.
I opened it again today and it hissed, like when you open a water or soda bottle, and it smelled like decaying meat. Didn't check the color on paper, I closed it almost instantly afterwards, but from the outside it appears brown/green. It also got warm a little when I shook it.
I assume mold and/or bacteria somehow infested it?? I keep my inks far from heat and sunlight, not really sure how could that happen.
On one side I'm grossed out, but on the other I wanna see if it decays any further.

Is there something inside?? Like, don't put your fingers in there but if you can take an empty pen and put it there and then throwing the unfortunate test pen, to see if there's something inside?

used a piece of plastic. inside there was nothing big enough that could be noticed, however after dropping some of the ink on paper the color resembles diluted tea and there are some tiny spots on it (probably mold?)
