just a thought

reading about (mostly) deep sea creatures makes me believe that many bad-but-fun media monsters could actually exist [assuming there were proper evolution conditions]

i mean, check those out:

fangtooth/tiger moray

sea pigs

gulper/pelican eels

deepstaria jelly

siphonophores

stomiidae fish

basket stars

telescope fish

climbing cave fish

grideye fish

lotta extinct species were funky too - gondwanasuchus, basilosaurus cetoides, some types of ammonites, gastric-brooding frogs (not in terms of looks, but in terms of breeding, wacky)

One of my inks started, IDK how to call it properly, decaying? Disintegrating? Decomposing??

I opened up the bottle some time ago and the scent was rather unusual, think rotting leaves. Color was different too - the liquid was brown, not the usual black/purple shade. Used it for art anyway.

I opened it again today and it hissed, like when you open a water or soda bottle, and it smelled like decaying meat. Didn't check the color on paper, I closed it almost instantly afterwards, but from the outside it appears brown/green. It also got warm a little when I shook it.

I assume mold and/or bacteria somehow infested it?? I keep my inks far from heat and sunlight, not really sure how could that happen.

On one side I'm grossed out, but on the other I wanna see if it decays any further.

ever felt like you're improving but after looking at your art you still see the same damn mistakes?? it feels like there's no brain-to-hand connection.
